Ajoy Ghosh
Mr. Ajoy Ghosh is an Architect and Urban Planner with experience in heat action planning, climate resilience, urban heat stress, urban heat island mapping, and sustainable urban development. He holds a Master’s degree in City Planning from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
His research work focuses on assessing climate risks linked to extreme weather events and heat stress across sectors such as housing and the built environment, energy, industry, tourism, and health, using climate, geospatial, and socio-economic data.
At IRADe, he is working as a Research Assistant and contributes to projects related to Heat Action Plans, climate resilience, heat stress adaptation, and sustainable urban development. His responsibilities include urban heat island mapping, vulnerability assessment, data analysis, report writing, and providing research support for government agencies, research institutions, and development partners.
