Ritwik Ray Chaudhuri
Ritwik is an energy systems analyst and electrical engineer with over five years of expertise in energy analytics, power sector policy, and low-carbon transition modeling. He specializes in applying data-driven approaches to evaluate renewable energy integration, power systems planning, and demand-side management strategies for utilities and government agencies.
Ritwik is currently working as a Research Analyst at IRADe and has previously worked with leading government and research institutions including the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (Ministry of Power), IIT Kanpur, and iFOREST. He has contributed to key projects on India’s net-zero strategy, renewable energy planning, distribution transformer efficiency, and long-term electricity demand forecasting. Ritwik brings strong technical expertise in tools such as MESSAGEix, ANSWER-TIMES, Pyomo, and MAED, along with a solid understanding of India’s dynamic power sector and clean energy transition landscape.
He holds an MBA in Power Management from University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, a PGP in Business Analytics from IIM Kozhikode, and a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology. He is passionate about using integrated modeling and evidence-based policy to accelerate India’s sustainable power sector transition.
