The study found that India\u2019s power sector has considerable scope for improvement in transmission and distribution (T&amp;D) losses. The suggested short-term and long-term measures to reduce these include installation of appropriate conductors, capacitors, reconfiguration of the network, upgradation to high-voltage transmission, etc. The project also analysed opportunities in the cement sector, co-generation schemes, wind power and hotel industry and other sectors for defining baselines.
